Patricia King received her Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University in 1984. She received her Juris Doctor Degree, Magna Cum Laude, from the Thomas M. Cooley School of Law in 1988 and practiced in Marco Island, Florida, and Naples, Florida from 1989 to 2006. Ms. King was in Civil Practice, practicing primarily in the areas of Civil Litigation, Family Law, Commercial litigation and Bankruptcy from 1989 to 2000. From 2000 to 2006, Ms. King served as a Senior Lead Attorney with Child Welfare Legal Service, Florida Department of Children and Family Services and received the Outstanding Performance Award from the Secretary of the Department during her tenure with the State of Florida. Ms. King was a senior partner of Thompson, Meier & King, until 2019 when she opened her own firm. She has been appointed as a Special Assistant Attorney representing the Georgia Department of Human Services, division of Family and Children Service.
She has been in private practice in Canton since 2006.

Jamie is a native of Cherokee County. She was raised in the Macedonia community and graduated from Cherokee High School.
Jamie has extensive experience working for our local banks. For eighteen years, she has been a friendly face in banks around Cherokee County. She got her start with Etowah Bank in downtown Canton. She continued her banking career at the Regions Bank in Ball Ground, as well as the United Community Bank in Ball Ground. Jamie also spent ten years working for Cotton States Insurance Company in Atlanta.
For over a decade, Jamie has served as the treasurer of the Ball Ground First Baptist Church, where her family holds membership. She is a member of the Appalachian Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals.
Jamie began her legal career in September 2011 as a legal secretary. In April, 2013, she received her Certificate in Paralegal Studie. Outside of work, Jamie spends time with her son, Alex, and enjoys riding with her husband, Steve, on their Harley Davidson. She also enjoys Zumba classes, going to the beach, playing Bunco with girlfriends and walking her two Maltese dogs, Layla and Rascal.
